Best Cayenne Pepper Powder
Information
Learn Where You Can Find The
Best Cayenne Pepper Powder on The Market
Literally every day, if
not every other day, I get emails from people all over the world
asking me additional questions about cayenne pepper, for more
clarification on its health benefits, as well as to give
unsolicited testimonials regarding their usage of this remarkable
spice.
I also get many asking me for my recommendations on the
best cayenne pepper powder.
I have to admit, I’ve been a little leery to answer the question
on the best cayenne pepper powder. If you’ve read through this
site, you know there have been no affiliate links
anywhere.
That has been deliberate.
Why? Because when I created this site in October 2007 or
so (only about 5 pages then), my thought was to put a couple
of affiliate links throughout the site at most for I wanted the
information's value to be unquestioned without any ulterior
motive perceived.
Turns out, I only put one up from a company called Blessed
Herbs.
I’ve personally used -- and do use -- their herbal stuff so I
felt good recommending them (it was a cayenne pepper tincture
product).
Nevertheless, I literally never made any money from it and I
didn’t mind a bit. (Well, maybe a little!) I also put this site up
around Oct. 2007 without doing any keyword or niche research
whatsoever.
My motive was to have the information speak for itself and to
share my genuine enthusiasm and gratitude to this incredible
medicinal spice or herb.
I also wanted to prove to readers that the information conveyed
was sincere without any overriding thought of financial reward on
my part.
To be quite honest, it doesn't cost a lot of money to put up a
site, get a domain name and host it. So, to be completely honest,
the site is solvent and is doing well (I don't make a lot of
money from this site, I assure you) notwithstanding no recommended
affiliate ads on this site -- until now.
As I get so many emails asking me about the best cayenne pepper
powder on such a constant basis, I thought it was time I answered
that question.
After personal research over a three-month period, I've come
upon a company that I believe offers the best cayenne pepper powder
on the Internet. Why do I recommend them? Here's why:
- Their cayenne pepper has a wide range of Scoville Heat Units
(SHU) from 35,000 to 190,000
- They have an excellent balance of price and quality
- They have multiple varieties of cayenne pepper powder (as well
as capsules) that should satisfy almost everyone
- Perhaps most importantly, their cayenne pepper powder is of the
highest quality
- They offer a 60-day money-back guarantee on all their products,
cayenne pepper powder included
- Many health food stores buy their full array of spices and
herbs from them, something I found out about after writing this
page.
I want to discuss point #4 for a moment.
Quality Standards
The quality standards of this company really caught my eye.
Their commitment to quality pervades their bulk product purchasing
selection, laboratory analysis, and controlled processing. They
have their own in-house lab but they've excelled with independent
quality-control testing as well. Let me quote directly from their
site:
| Starwest’s
facility is inspected annually for good manufacturing practices by
the American Institute of Baking (AIB), from whom we recently
received a score of “Superior.” |
In addition, all their products undergo various testing
processes including, chemical analyses, physical analyses,
microbiological, organoleptic, and botanical identification, which
includes macroscopic, microscopic, HPLC (High Pressure Liquid
Chromatography), GC (Gas Chromatography) and TLC (Thin Layer
Chromatography) testing and more.
Many of their cayenne pepper powder offerings (they also sell
capsuled cayenne and unground peppers) are USDA organic certified.
Many of their cayenne powders are also certified as kosher by
the Kosher Certification Service, and are certified organic by the
Quality Assurance International standards.
Recommended Cayenne Pepper
Powders
Okay, with all that said, here are the different cayenne pepper
powders they offer.
If you're a "cayenne beginner," this is a good place to should
start. This has lesser heat or "H.U." classification (heat units)
and is a quality cayenne pepper powder.
If you have "graduated" from 35k to 50k SHU cayenne and are
ready to give the 90,000 SHU cayenne a try, this is a good one
here.
If a pound of 90,000 SHU cayenne is too daunting, and if you
want to experiment with it first to see if it's right for you,
check out this 4-ounce (113.398 grams) option. It's cheap too
-- only $4.42 USD.
The above cayenne is very, very hot and very, very potent. (This
is the one I personally use.) Notice it's 160,000 SHU or HU
(Scoville Heat Units and Heat Units). It's also very
cheap. Building up to this one will take time but it's a good
goal. Very potent and certified organic. A great combination at a
great price. (If 90,000 SHU or a 35,000 SHU cayenne is more to your
liking, there are some options above.)
This is another hot one but it's cheaper as it's not USDA
organic certified. Still, a very high quality cayenne
notwithstanding.
For those faint of heart who don't want to drink their cayenne
but prefer to take it in capsule form, this is a very good choice.
Only $9.33 for 100 capsules.
If you want to have cayenne pepper extract around for medicinal
purposes, this is a good choice. The extract is concentrated and is
certified USDA organic.
For those who want to buy a lot of cayenne pepper capsules in
bulk, this is a good option and is cheaper. Only $33.75 for 500
cayenne pepper capsules.
Conclusion
If you've gone through a few of the pages in this
website, you know I always recommend buying cayenne pepper powder
in your local health food store. That recommendation still
stands.
If you cannot or choose not to buy online or at
your local health food store, then buying cayenne pepper at your
local grocer of choice is an alternative as well, although not
recommended. (Why? Because the cayenne they offer tends to be
lesser quality cayenne and could be irradiated.)
So, yes, that recommendation still stands -- buy
locally from a health food store.
There is such a thing as "dirty cayenne" as one
master herbalist acquaintance of mine calls it.
The truth is even the worst cayenne is still a very
potent and healthy aid for your health. It's just that grocery
market cayenne is not ideal.
Moving on, in the interest of full disclosure and total honesty,
if you buy these cayenne pepper powders through this recommended
company StarWest Botanicals, I will earn a small commission (15% of
the sales price).
Still, I know some will have a problem with that, which I can
understand.
An inevitable question, I suppose, is whether or not I'd still
buy and recommend StarWest's products if they didn't have an
affiliate program.
I've thought about it carefully and I can say the answer is
still yes.
(I actually had been recommending them to people for months
before putting this page up.)
That said, if you feel I'm trying to take advantage of you with
this recommendation, then buy cayenne locally or go to StarWest
Botanicals site directly. Here's their non-affiliate link

This page is the
only one on this entire site that has a recommended product via
affiliate links. |
Whatever option you decide, I sincerely hope you
will add cayenne pepper to your health regime, but it's up to you.
It's a truly remarkable spice that has so many astonishing health
benefits. My life has been truly blessed by taking this wonderful
powder.
It's a blessing from God, in my opinion.
It's lowered my LDL cholesterol level, healed a
persistent hemorrhoid problem, healed me of an ulcer, lowered my
blood pressure, improved my energy levels and has strengthened my
heart.
So, there you have it. I've been as straightforward
and upfront as I can be.
I hope you've found this page useful.
Yours in health,
