He thought seriously about getting a master’s in herbal medicine when younger but changed his mind. Nevertheless, he's been studying alternative health, medicinal herbs, and homeopathic medicine continuously for over two decades as a health enthusiast.

Some of his favorite things in life are Jamba Juice, playing softball, dogs, cats, scuba diving, the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, beautiful sunsets, Maui, writing, history, playing the classical guitar, great music, Star Trek, space stuff, good movies, good books, good food, good conversations and good friends.
